Today marks one year in Portland and it’s been a wild ride. Four of us packed up and left all we knew in Austin behind; the best group of friends i’ve ever had, jobs, and a community to try to start something new in the Pacific Northwest. It’s always tough to leave comfort and ease behind but slowly and surely we’re building all that back up and learning a lot along the way. I had grand dreams of all the new camping spots and places to explore up here, but the blog and instagram have definitely been the last thing on my mind. We’ve done our fair share of road trips, camping, and hiking, but at the end of the day we’ve just been too busy living life to keep up with it like we did before. I’m feeling a little more grounded entering this second year and am eager for what’s in store!
